Do I need to give a deposit when booking?

Different accommodation providers have different requirements. Sometimes you will be asked to give a deposit; sometimes you may be required to give the full payment. Be sure to refer to the cancellation policy before making any bookings online. If you are booking with a Guru, you will be notified before the booking is confirmed.

Who should I contact, if I require travel assistance while overseas?

What do I do if I misplace my package or membership details?

Don’t panic. Contact us on 1300 797 537. We’ll have your details on file and we can replace your package if necessary.

What if I’m not happy with my membership?

If for any reason you're not happy, simply let us know within 10 days of receiving your membership package and if we can't rectify the problem, we'll give you a full refund of your membership fee. HolidayGurus is designed to cater for our members. If you are dissatisfied in any way, speak to our membership support first; they may be able to modify your membership to suit your needs. Can I give membership as a gift?

Yes. Call: 1300 797 537 to arrange the gift and your giftee will be notified on their special day.

Can I include my family and friends in the HolidayGurus benefits?

Of course! Your membership level determines how many of your friends and family can reap the benefits. Take a look at our membership levels page for details.

How long before travel should I book?

We advise to organise your trip at least a month in advance to ensure you get your ideal vacation. Availabilities become more limited (and generally more expensive) the closer you get to your departure date, so don’t wait - book now!

How long does my membership package take to arrive?

We’ll aim to have your package to you in 7 - 10 working days. If your package still hasn’t arrived after that time, please contact us and we’ll follow it up for you. Please note: You’ll have immediate online access once you become a member, so if you need to book your holiday, simply log in or call: 1300 797 537to make a booking.

What's the difference between an Access Pass and Paid Membership?

An Access Pass gives you 3 months access to the member's area. You can still book with our Gurus but wont receive discounts on bookings, travel insurance or free use of the invaluable Itinerary Review Service. Paid members also get priority access to our Travel Gurus. Click here for more information on membership.

Am I eligible to become a member?

If you live in Australia or New Zealand you’re eligible for HolidayGurus membership.

Can you organise last minute car hire or transfers to and from our accommodation?

Of course. Simply call and we can organise it for you- before you board your plane, if need be.  Subject to availability

Can I purchase my flights through HolidayGurus or do you only provide complete vacation bundles?

You can purchase any one of our services individually- flights, accommodation, transfers, car hire, rail journeys, insurance, attraction tickets and more. Alternatively we can plan and package the whole trip or sections of the trip for you.

I received holiday vouchers in my membership package. What can they be used for?

Your holiday vouchers entitle you to exclusive accommodation discounts across Australia and New Zealand, thanks to our sister company Affordable Holidays. 1 x holidays voucher = 3 to 5 days of discounted accommodation in AUS or NZ.

What methods of booking can I use?

  1. We recommend using one of our Gurus to ensure you receive the best in vacation assistance. Our Gurus are available Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm on 1300 797 537.
  2. You can also book most destinations yourself online.
  3. If you have any further questions you’ll have an immediate response using our online chat facility.
  4. You can also contact us via email or Facebook for a speedy reply to your enquiry.

Can I use the same Guru for all of my bookings?

Yes, but if you have questions specific to the destination you may require the advice of that region’s specialist.

How do I know that you’ll have access to my desired destination?

HolidayGurus have a wide range of wholesalers and we’re also a HelloWorld affiliate. That means, if you’re looking to travel, we can get you there!

How do I use my Bonus Travel cash when booking?

Your travel cash entitles you to further discounts off select cruises, international packages & special offers. Look out for the ($?) symbol on certain offers for big discounts.

Do you offer discounts on travel extras?

  1. Your level of membership provides you with additional savings on those extra holiday costs like tours and activities.
  2. A membership level of Traveller or above allows for additional membership cards for your family and friends to enjoy your member benefits as well.
  3. We offer up to 30% off travel insurance.

What value do you deliver on international holidays and accommodation?

HolidayGurus has new international offers available every week! Couple those with your package discounts and you can save hundreds on your vacation! Update your profile and we’ll send you deals on your favourite holiday destinations so you won’t miss out.

I’ve forgotten my membership details. How can I retrieve my login or password?

You can retrieve your password by following the “forgotten password” prompts on the login page.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit card, internet transfer, debit card, PayPal and direct deposit.

Why can’t I view everything on the website?

We have a non-members area and a member’s area. Once you take out an Access Pass or Full Membership you will be able to use the member login in to experience the entire range of travel services on offer with HolidayGurus.
